Co-designing the Career Development Model
The Career Review has completed the most comprehensive review of Scotland’s career system in a generation.
The review has engaged hundreds of practitioners, partners and people entitled to services to co-design how services are delivered.
A key recommendation of the review was the development of a Career Development Model to define career services and bring coherence to the wide range of support available.
DYW Coordinator and teacher Brendan Toal joined practitioners from across the ecosystem to co-design the Career Development Model.
I think it’s very important that as professionals we engage with this model and understand it’s a responsibility of all to give the best career support to young people The ethos of bringing lots of different professionals together from lots of different sectors will be central to its success.
