Scottish Government announces review of skills landscape
The Scottish Government has announced that Ministers will initiate an independent review of the skills delivery landscape, focusing on the functions and remit of SDS, and our interface with the wider system.
The Review, commencing in September, will be led by an independent advisor and will report recommendations to Ministers in Spring 2023.
The advisor will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including our colleagues and board, to inform their recommendations.
Ministers will provide further details on the remit of the review, including the terms of reference, in due course.
Frank Mitchell, Chair of SDS, said: “Whilst we await further details on the scope and intention of the review, we will remain focused on continuing to deliver services to our customers, meeting the needs of individuals and businesses and working with partners to the benefit of the Scottish economy.”
