New location for the career service in Alloa
Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is changing location in Alloa as part of a drive to help more people through partnership working in community venues.
SDS is moving to a new venue in the Alloa campus of Forth Valley College on Wednesday 6 March. As part of the change, the team will move out of the careers centre at 39 Bank Street on Wednesday 28 February.
National skills body SDS offers free, impartial career information, advice and guidance in secondary schools and for people of all ages across Scotland.
Dave McCallum, SDS Head of Operations South East explains: “Our team in Alloa will continue to provide professionally qualified careers advice in our new home in the Alloa Campus of Forth Valley College.
“We’ll be up and running there from Wednesday 6 March 2024 and customers will be able to meet with our advisers by appointment Monday to Friday.
“They also have the option to access our services at various community venues across Clackmannanshire including Alva Community Access Point, Tullibody Community Access Point, Alloa Speirs Centre and The Gate in Alloa, if that is more accessible for them.”
The college is a modern and accessible location for our customers and just a short distance away from our current base. We’re excited at the prospect of continuing to deliver exceptional levels of service to residents in Alloa and the surrounding area.
