Construction and the Built Environment
Inside Scotland's Construction & Built Environment sector

Last year the construction sector employed around 201,800 people in Scotland and is predicted to need at least 22,000 more people by 2027.
Construction is complex and require a huge range of expertise and skills to take a project from planning and design, through build, to post construction checks.
While traditional roles remain important, new and emerging roles in areas like green construction and technological innovation offer diverse opportunities.
