From space exploration to agricultural, engineers use science and maths to design, manufacture, maintain and repair everything from computer chips to aircraft carriers.
Engineering employed over 135,000 people in Scotland last year which increases to 185,000 If you include Food & Drink Manufacturing.
Scotland is working to expand High Value Manufacturing (HVM) which uses cutting edge technology in areas like, SpaceTech, photonics, marine, BioTech or Biotechnology.
