Senior phase group activity
In the final years of secondary, young people are preparing for their next steps when they leave school.
Group activities with our careers advisers continue in S4, S5 and S6 to further develop career management skills (CMS).
Priority is given to ensuring all young people understand the routes and pathways open to them and can make informed choices about senior phase options and beyond. Activities are focused on:
- Developing career management skills to make and take career decisions now and in the future
- Senior phase option choices and routes and pathways to the future world of work, including Foundation Apprenticeships
- Labour market information and skills for the future world of work
- My World of Work tools and resources
Group activities are integrated into the curriculum, and some can be co‐designed and co‐delivered with teaching staff.
Events
Young people may also attend events to help them explore their options. These include UCAS Discovery Exhibitions, and Skills Scotland.
